A Community Partnership

Curtis Creek Ranch

Curtis Creek Ranch is a nonprofit equine therapy — horse therapy — ranch tucked into the rolling country of North Carolina. They serve veterans, people living with PTSD, and pastoral care clients who need a quieter, more grounded place to heal than a clinical office.

Every dollar they take in goes back into the program. They don't have a marketing department. If you're moved by what they're building, they could use the help.

What equine therapy actually is

Equine therapy — horse therapy — isn't a metaphor. Horses work with you in ways a clinician can't: they read anxiety that you've spent years learning to hide, they don't let you "perform being okay," and their movement provides real neuro-motor input that reaches things talk therapy can't touch.

It's not the same as generic animal-assisted therapy. There's a body of evidence behind it for chronic pain, trauma processing, MS, autoimmune conditions, and the kind of grief that comes from managing a condition that defines your daily life.

Ground Work + Riding

Sessions often begin unmounted — grooming, leading, working from the ground with the horse. This is where the deepest regulation work happens. Riding comes later, when you've earned it.

Real Clinical Outcomes

Documented reductions in pain intensity, fatigue, and depression across fibromyalgia, MS, autoimmune, and PTSD cohorts. The mechanism is the horse's nervous-system impact — measurable, not symbolic.

Horses Don't Perform

Horses read your state continuously. They reflect back what you bring — calmly and without judgment. The therapeutic work happens because they will not let you fake regulation.

One of three equal pillars

LKM Coaching and Ministry is built on three things that run parallel — each meeting a different need, none of them a product of the others.

Coaching Services

One-on-one coaching built around your health, your story, your season. Weekly sessions that meet you where you are, with biblical and pastoral care credentials behind the work.

AI Health Advocacy

The AI advocate tracks your conditions, your medications, your appointments, your symptom patterns. It works the long hours so your coaching sessions and doctor visits feel grounded in real data.

Equine Therapy — Curtis Creek Ranch

Our partner nonprofit in North Carolina. Horse therapy for veterans, PTSD, and pastoral care. We refer clients to them, and we support their work because it works, not because it scales.

How we work together

Curtis Creek Ranch runs the program. We help people find it when equine therapy is the right next step — and we help clients log the effects of equine sessions alongside the rest of their care picture.

Help keep the ranch running

Curtis Creek Ranch runs on small-dollar gifts and the steady work of a few people who care deeply. If this program matters to you — or might matter to someone you love — the most direct thing you can do is give, and give directly.
